KYP from Vivelys

KYP, the digital cellar logbook
KYP, the digital cellar logbook
A new tool was introduced in the cellar in 2023, replacing Agréo Cave. We tested KYP, the digital cellar logbook from Vivelys. This tool is dedicated to monitoring winemaking from an operational perspective (rather than a regulatory one). Designed for operators, it helps streamline cellar operations by facilitating organization. The algorithm oversees the winemaking process for each tank and indicates the necessary interventions by notifying the operators.
What we liked:
- User-friendly interface and ease of use, including the setup of the cellar layout
- Tank view (illustrated) or global list view for quick supervision
- Data entry via the mobile app (with the option to scan a QR code)
- Notifications and reminders (required operations, action history)
- Support: training on the tool and the responsiveness of the team
Areas for improvement:
- Lack of export features (e.g., histograms/fermentation curves)
- Vintage history is not yet available
- Navigation bugs, which have since been fixed
In the future, the Scalya tool dedicated to managing fermentation through connected tanks, will be merged with KYP to offer a single platform combining process control and traceability.
